The DeWalt D25940K demolition hammer is designed to handle a wide variety of demolition jobs efficiently. Powered by a 15 amp DeWalt-built motor, the hammer delivers 22 foot-pounds of impact energy at 1,620 bpm for fast material destruction, yet it's also surprisingly easy to operate. The unit weighs just 26.4 pounds and features an antivibration system that makes it easier to control and less strenuous than many comparable models. Insulated, soft-grip handles provide comfort, added control, and protection from potential shock when working in areas where hidden wires might exist. Customer Review: Nice handheld jackhammer

I bought this jackhammer to replace the Makita HB1500 series that we had. The Makita was a good hammer but rather heavy for the kind of demolition work we do. The Dewalt is about 10 pounds lighter in use and yet quite a bit more powerful. I would say that it is about 30 pounds in use and that seems to be a maximum for handheld work. It has a really nice soft start feature that allows more accuracy in chipping. I have not owned it long enough to know about reliability, but so far so good.
