Customer Review: Different but good.

I bought these gloves to replace another set of Dewalt gloves that were the standard work glove that is loose fitting and had the cuff. I have to say that I wasn't expecting these to fit so snug on my hands. I ordered large and they fit me really close, this may take some getting used to but overall can have advantages depending on the type of job you're going to tackle. I found that these could stand up to the wear and tear of shoveling and raking, handling stone for a retaining wall, and "playing" in the dirt as you would with gardening gloves rather well. At one point I was concerned as it appeared that the stitching was coming undone but it turned out that when the golves got wet the stiching swelled and some of the fibers got caught on the stone I was using for the wall making it appear that they were falling apart. Long story short, gloves dried out and are no worse for the wear. I do have to point out though that if you are used to and really like or need gloves with cuff protection then these are not for you. Aside from the obvious, they have no cuffs, on me the velcro strap rides high on my wrist. This may just be the shape of my hand and may not be a problem for others but I was accustomed to the protection that cuffs give and let me tell you that if you do jobs that require that, you're going to find out really quickly that these are lacking in this department. My best example, stacking wood can be a bit more painful if you like to gather arm loads to stack as I do!
Overall though, I am more than satisfied with what I am getting out of this glove and would recommend them.
